Premier League club Crystal Palace had a definite interest in Winsley Boteli and made an offer of approximately 20 million.

Winsley Boteli, a 20-year-old Swiss U21 international striker for Sion who also holds DR Congolese nationality, has attracted interest from clubs in top leagues. Crystal Palace is reportedly among the clubs that have recently made an approach. However, Sion president Christian Constantin has stated the player will not be transferred in this transfer period. Constantin stated that there would be no move, a point he had already made several times. Offers in the region of 20 million Swiss francs have not changed Constantin's position. His club paid 3.5 million euros to Borussia Mönchengladbach this summer for Boteli's permanent transfer. The striker, who has 2 goals in 5 caps for the Swiss U21 team, will remain in Switzerland at least until the winter, at which point the situation may be re-evaluated. His contract with Sion runs until June 2030 and his current Transfermarkt market value is €5.00m. Galatasaray has also been linked with the player. Around May 2026, it was alleged that an offer of €7 million had already been made for him.
