Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Juventus recently sent an emissary, described as being very close to Luciano Spalletti, to watch Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk play for the Netherlands. The report also stated that Juve is focusing on the defender's fitness and that he would become a tangible target if Gleison Bremer departs amid interest from the Premier League.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a representative from Juventus watched Virgil van Dijk during the Netherlands' Nations League match against Germany. The report states that Van Dijk's contract with Liverpool expires in June 2027, which could make him available without a transfer fee next summer if an extension is not agreed. Juventus' interest is said to be partly due to Van Dijk's experience and leadership at an elite level. It is noted that Juventus scouting the player does not mean negotiations are in progress, as clubs frequently monitor numerous players. The combination of Van Dijk's contract situation and Juventus’ history of pursuing experienced free agents is noted as context.

Tuttomercato reports that Juventus are considering Virgil van Dijk as a potential free transfer.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG, Juventus, and Atletico Madrid are all following Van Dijk's situation. Should Van Dijk decide to leave Liverpool, all these clubs are ready to hold contract negotiations with the player.
