Victor Boniface Transfer from Bayer 04 Leverkusen to SV Werder Bremen
Victor Boniface completed a loan move to SV Werder Bremen. In an interview with Werder Bremen's official media, Boniface explained that the club's management presented him with a detailed plan that convinced him to join. He expressed happiness that the transfer was successful, especially after a previous failed attempt to join AC Milan. Boniface also mentioned that discussions with Senne Lynen, a former teammate at Union St. Gilles, who praised the city and club, influenced his decision.
Victor Boniface has completed medical examinations with Werder Bremen. The transfer is awaiting only the final approval for contract signing. The news was reported by market expert Fabrizio Romano.
Werder Bremen is looking at 24-year-old Nigerian striker Victor Boniface as a potential transfer option. Given his six million Euro per season salary at Bayer Leverkusen, a loan transfer appears to be the most realistic possibility. It is expected that Bayer would need to shoulder a significant part of his salary for such a loan to materialize. This option is being considered by Werder Bremen as they aim to secure a new striker on Deadline Day, with other prospects including Simon Banza from SC Braga and Taiwo Awoniyi from Nottingham Forest. Nonetheless, the execution of such a transfer deal remains uncertain. Boniface, who is contracted with Leverkusen until 2028, has a market value of €40 million according to Transfermarkt, and has also attracted interest from clubs like West Ham, Milan, and Al Nassr.
