AS reports that Getafe CF has officially signed Veljko Birmancevic from Sparta de Praga on a loan with an option to buy, lasting until the end of the current season. For Sparta de Praga this season, Birmancevic has scored eight goals and provided four assists. He has been registered in LaLiga and could debut soon, conditional upon his physical condition.

Getafe signed Veljko Birmancevic in the final hour of the transfer market. Birmancevic is a 27-year-old Serbian winger who has joined the club on loan from the Czech side Sparta Prague until the end of the season. He was the fifth new player to arrive at the club during this window, after Martín Satriano, Sebastián Boselli, Zaid Romero, and Luis Vázquez, who all also joined on loan. Birmancevic has made 13 appearances for the Serbian national team. In 16 league appearances for Sparta Prague during the first half of the season, he scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €4.50m.
