A potential transfer for Irish striker Troy Parrott is reportedly progressing, with multiple larger foreign clubs having inquired with AZ. In addition to PSV, clubs such as Real Betis and Como are also interested in the 24-year-old striker. While PSV has made inquiries, the amount AZ is demanding appears to be higher than what the club is willing to pay. Ajax also recently showed interest. AZ aims to receive a high price for Parrott, who is under contract in Alkmaar until 2029, and had hoped for a record transfer fee during the winter. Parrott, who has 37 caps and 11 goals for Ireland, joined AZ from Tottenham in July 2024 for a reported fee between €4 million and €8 million. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €25.00m. AZ's asking price was reported as a club-record €30 million in late 2025, and in May 2026 reports cited a £25 million (approx. €30 million) asking price for interested clubs.
