SC Cambuur attempted to bring Tonny Vilhena, a 31-year-old midfielder, to Leeuwarden earlier this summer, but that option now appears to be unavailable for the time being. The Netherlands international, who has been considering a return to his home country, is now receiving strong consideration from Willem II. The promoted club is seeking to add to its squad in the final week of the transfer window. Vilhena has one year left on his contract with Panathinaikos, which he joined in July 2023, but is no longer in the Greek club's plans. The midfielder has 15 caps for the Netherlands and a current Transfermarkt market value of €500k.
