Voetbalprimeur.nl reports that SC Cambuur have signed Ryan van de Pavert on loan from Ajax. The clubs announced the transfer on Friday, and he will have the opportunity in Leeuwarden to gain experience at the highest level.

Nathan van Kooperen, the agent for Ryan van de Pavert, confirmed the 20-year-old is set to move from Ajax to SC Cambuur on a loan deal. An agreement has been reached between the two clubs, and the Dutch midfielder will travel to Leeuwarden on Thursday for a medical. Following the examination, he will sign a one-year loan contract that does not include an option to buy. De Telegraaf reports that Ajax believes the homegrown player has a future with the club and that a year in the Eredivisie will benefit his development, potentially preparing him for their first team afterwards. Van de Pavert, a regular for Jong Ajax who can also play in defense, was near the senior squad at the end of last season but has not yet made his official debut. According to De Telegraaf, Ajax primarily considers him a 'number six'. His contract with Ajax is valid until June 30, 2029, and his current market value is €200k, according to Transfermarkt. In the 2025/2026 season, he made 10 appearances and provided one assist for Jong Ajax in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
