PSV has been named as a possible destination for 28-year-old Norwegian striker Tobias Lauritsen, partly due to Ricardo Pepi's recent injury. However, Sparta Rotterdam does not intend to sell the striker during the winter transfer window, and despite his expiring contract, will only let him leave for what the club describes as the absolute top price. Sparta manager Maurice Steijn stated that the club is prioritizing its sporting interests and will not let Lauritsen go easily, emphasizing the player's importance to the team. Steijn explained the difficulty of finding a replacement who scores ten or more goals mid-season and confirmed an internal consensus that no direct replacement is currently available. While a departure would be a significant loss, the manager acknowledged that the club cannot stop a transfer if their high valuation is met. Transfermarkt lists Lauritsen's value at 3.5 million euros. In the current Eredivisie season, Lauritsen has scored 9 goals and provided 2 assists in 18 appearances.
