The transfer of 24-year-old Uruguayan-Argentine winger Thiago Palacios from Estudiantes to CSKA Moscow is currently facing significant obstacles. Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo indicated on social network X that the challenges in completing the player's transfer stem from disagreements between the involved parties over the payment method for the $7 million (€6 million) fee. Furthermore, similar payment-related issues are complicating the transfer of forward Adolfo Gaich from CSKA to the Argentine club Estudiantes. Since joining Estudiantes in February 2024, Palacios has participated in 70 matches, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists. His contract with the club is valid until the end of 2027, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €3.5 million.
