According to ESPN, Atlético-MG rejected two offers from CSKA Moscow for forward Tomás Cuello. Sources indicate the proposals were turned down because Cuello is considered an essential player by Eduardo Domínguez’s board and coaching staff, and the amounts offered were not satisfactory to the board. The club also considered it difficult to find a replacement for Cuello, as the transfer window in Brazil will close on Friday (11). Negotiations with CSKA have stopped progressing, and it is expected that Cuello will remain at Atlético-MG.

According to Globo.com, negotiations between Atlético-MG and CSKA for Cuello are stalled and not expected to progress. The report states that financial issues affected the discussions. The main impasse occurred when CSKA opted to include a debt of approximately five million euros, owed by Atlético-MG for the signing of Bruno Fuchs, as part of the deal. This debt would have been deducted from the payment for Cuello. CSKA offered approximately 10 million euros plus performance-based bonuses for the player. The Atlético-MG board was not satisfied with the proposal, believing the figures needed to be higher to compensate for the loss of an important player at a decisive stage of the season.
