Girona is in talks for a loan deal for French midfielder Thomas Lemar (29) and seems to be the most interested club. Atlético Madrid is ready to terminate Lemar's contract, which officially runs until June 2027, to allow him to move on and relieve themselves of his salary burden. Lemar, who once transferred from Monaco for a reported €72 million, currently has a market value estimated by Transfermarkt at €5.00m. In addition to Girona, several other Spanish and French clubs, including Olympique Lyonnais, Monaco, Celta de Vigo, Osasuna, and Rayo Vallecano, have also been linked with the player.
