Thiago Silvero, a 19-year-old Argentinian-Paraguayan defender who joined his club at the age of five, had received inquiries from Independiente and was also recently the subject of a rumor linking him to River. He has since signed a contract extension with Vélez until December 2028. He has been capped twice for the Argentina U20 national team.
