Svante Ingelsson Transfer from Sheffield Wednesday to Stoke City
Stoke City is the latest club to be interested in Sheffield Wednesday's Swedish midfielder Svante Ingelsson and is monitoring his situation. The Potters have competition from their Championship rivals Millwall and Portsmouth, who are also pursuing the player. A bid from Millwall for Ingelsson was rejected this month, and Portsmouth are also reportedly determined to sign him. According to Alan Nixon, a fee of around £500k would be required to sign the 27-year-old from Hillsborough. Ingelsson joined Sheffield Wednesday in July 2024 and has made 27 appearances in the Championship this season, scoring one goal. He has also been capped 14 times for Sweden's U21 team, scoring two goals. In January 2026, a bid from Millwall of approximately €350,000 was reportedly rejected, while an offer from Portsmouth was also turned down. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €1.00m.
