According to LeicestershireLive, Stoke City has an apparent interest in Leicester City's 28-year-old English winger, Stephy Mavididi, who appears to be close to leaving his current club. Leicester, who were relegated from the Championship last season, are reportedly preparing for a number of departures before the transfer deadline. Manager Russell Martin confirmed that there is significant interest in Mavididi, but stated that nothing was concrete yet. He also added that a departure would happen if it represented a good deal for both the player and the club. Mavididi has been capped for England at the U20 level. He joined Leicester in July 2023 for a reported €7.5 million and has a contract until 2028. Transfermarkt lists his current market value as €5.00m. Middlesbrough and Rangers have also been recently linked with the player. It was reported in July 2026 that Rangers were preparing an offer of approximately £7 million.
