Souleymane Faye Transfer from Granada to Club Brugge
Club Brugge was initially interested in Souleymane Faye, a 22-year-old Senegalese winger who was developing well in the Spanish second division with Granada, where he scored two goals and provided six assists in 19 league appearances this season. Faye, who has one cap for Senegal, declined an offer from the Belgian club and moved to Sporting Lissabon for 6.5 million euros, signing a contract until June 2030. Reports from January 2026 stated that Granada's initial asking price was €10 million, with the final deal having the potential to rise to €8 million including add-ons. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.5 million. Granada sold the player six months after signing him from Betis Deportivo for over 3.5 million euros. Following this, Club Brugge reportedly directed its full attention to another target, Andreas Schjelderup.
