Sinclair Armstrong has joined the Turkish side Goztepe from Bristol City for a fee that was not disclosed. Armstrong has signed a four-year contract at Gursel Aksel Stadium, which includes an option for an additional 12 months.

Bristol City have confirmed that Sinclair Armstrong has departed Ashton Gate permanently to join Göztepe. The transfer will become official when the Turkish transfer window opens later this month. According to reports, the fee for Armstrong is as much as €2.5 million (£2.16 million). Göztepe are owned by Sport Republic, who also own Southampton. It was understood that Göztepe had been interested in the striker in September 2025. By the time their interest became public, the transfer window had closed, and as a result, Bristol City were reluctant to complete a deal as they would have been unable to sign a replacement. Armstrong is the first player to depart Ashton Gate this summer and the first to depart under the management of Michael Skubala.

Sinclair Armstrong is nearing a move to Göztepe. According to the Irish Examiner, Armstrong is in İzmir, Turkey, to complete his medical and formalities for a move the publication states would be for €2.5 million (£2.16 million). Süper Lig clubs cannot complete any incoming business until their respective windows open on Sunday, June 21. Armstrong looks set to join Göztepe, which finished sixth in the Turkish Süper Lig last season.

Göztepe has again shown interest in signing Sinclair Armstrong, a forward from the English Championship club Bristol City. The Turkish club has reportedly conducted preliminary discussions with Bristol City and the player, and an agreement in principle has reportedly been reached. Armstrong's contract with his current club is valid until June 30, 2028, and he scored four goals in 45 appearances in all competitions in the previous season.
