Serhou Guirassy Transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea

Chelsea are lining up a summer move for the Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy. The report indicates that Chelsea have already initiated moves to sign the 29-year-old striker. The player is valued at €70 million, and Chelsea have the financial capability to complete the deal. Chelsea are seeking a quality striker to improve their attack and compete at the highest levels, particularly if they secure Champions League qualification.

Chelsea are reportedly considering activating the €70 million release clause in Serhou Guirassy’s contract with Borussia Dortmund. Previously, the Blues were strongly associated with a move for the Guinea international last summer, but they decided not to pursue the deal, leading to Guirassy's transfer to Dortmund for €18 million in July. Currently, Enzo Maresca’s team has renewed its interest in the 29-year-old, impressed by his outstanding performance this season, and is prepared to trigger his €70 million release clause to secure his acquisition. Guirassy has netted 28 goals in 40 appearances this season, including 13 in the Champions League, and he is reportedly regarded as a significant signing by the Chelsea management.

Chelsea are interested in signing Serhou Guirassy to improve their attacking unit. The 29-year-old Guinea international has been outstanding for Borussia Dortmund, scoring 28 goals and providing eight assists in all competitions this season. Chelsea, who had previously wanted to sign him before he joined Dortmund, are considered best-placed to sign him according to Maurizio Russo. Guirassy has a £60 million exit clause in his contract, and Chelsea have the financial muscle to pay for it. He could compete with Nicolas Jackson for the starting spot and help Chelsea fight for the league title.

Serhou Guirassy dreams of playing in the Premier League. Chelsea were eager to sign him last year but decided against finalising an agreement with Stuttgart, and Guirassy ended up at Dortmund. His contract with Dortmund contains a €70 million release clause applicable to around six clubs, including Chelsea. Rumours suggest Chelsea may rekindle their interest this summer as they seek a new centre forward.

Serhou Guirassy, who has been a key player for Borussia Dortmund with 13 goals in his first season in the Champions League, might leave the club as several top teams are expected to be interested in him. Last summer, he chose Dortmund over Arsenal and Chelsea but included a release clause of 70 million euros in his contract, as he wanted to stay in the Bundesliga but also keep his dream of playing in the Premier League alive.

Serhou Guirassy can be acquired by Chelsea due to a special release clause. Dortmund had to break their own rule against release clauses to sign Guirassy, and he can be purchased for around seventy million euros by six specific European top clubs. Chelsea is confirmed to be one of these clubs, and Guirassy has always dreamed of playing in the top of the Premier League.

There were rumours linking Guirassy with several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, who were reportedly on the hunt for a new striker. Despite the interest, Guirassy moved to Borussia Dortmund in a €18 million transfer.
