According to various reports, Club America is close to signing Uruguayan central defender Santiago Bueno from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The agreement between America and Wolverhampton stipulates that Santiago Bueno will arrive in Mexico on a one-year loan with an option to purchase. Following negotiations between both institutions, Santiago Bueno is expected to travel to Mexico soon to complete the incorporation process with Club America, before the market closes this Friday. The next step is the player's transfer to Mexico to undergo medical examinations and complete the necessary documentation, after which the club can officially add him to the squad for the 2026 Apertura tournament.
