Between June and July, Roma made an official proposal of 25 million euros, which is equivalent to R$ 140 million, for Samuel Lino. The 26-year-old Brazilian is a regular starter on the left wing for Flamengo. He is a candidate for the best player award in the Brazilian Championship and has been called up to the national team. In the 2025/2026 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A season, Samuel Lino had 32 appearances, 11 goals, and 9 assists. He joined his current club in July 2025, has 4 caps and 2 goals for Brazil, and his contract expires in December 2029. Although he is considered the club's most valuable player, his sale is viewed as improbable. His market value is listed as €20M by Transfermarkt.
