Samuel Edozie Transfer from Southampton to Millwall
Mike McGrath of the Daily Telegraph reported that Southampton have rejected loan bids from both Millwall and their Championship rivals Derby County for 23-year-old English-Nigerian left-winger Samuel Edozie for the second half of the 2025-26 season. According to McGrath, Southampton rejected the offers as they would prefer the attacker, who has not had any game time this season, to move abroad rather than to another EFL club. Edozie, who joined Southampton from Man City in 2022 for a £10 million fee, began his career in Millwall's academy. Derby may no longer be interested in the player, having signed Jaydon Banel from Burnley earlier in the week. The former England U21 international's contract runs until June 2027, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €5.00m. In August 2025, Southampton reportedly rejected an €8 million bid from Club Brugge, seeking €10 million for the player. Dutch club Feyenoord has also been linked with an interest in Edozie.
