Bristol City is targeting Sambou Soumano, a 25-year-old Senegalese centre-forward whose contract with FC Lorient expires this summer. The Championship club is reportedly working on its plans to convince the player. Soumano, who joined Lorient in January 2022, was close to joining Qarabag in Azerbaijan last summer before the transfer was cancelled in the final days of the transfer window. A contract extension at Lorient was reportedly considered afterwards. Other English clubs, including Brentford, Sunderland, and Burnley, had also previously shown interest in the forward. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €4.00m.
