Swindon Town have officially announced that Sam Inwood has been signed on a season-long loan deal from Bolton Wanderers. After his first training session, Inwood expressed that he was excited about joining Swindon Town and starting training with the team.

Bolton Wanderers' 20-year-old defender Sam Inwood has joined Swindon Town on a season-long loan to gain first-team experience in League Two. The academy graduate and Northern Ireland Under-21 international has five senior appearances for Bolton and featured in the club's pre-season campaign, which included a training camp in Slovakia. The move follows a loan spell at National League side Aldershot last season, where he made 23 appearances before being called into the senior squad by Steven Schumacher for the final weeks of the play-off campaign.
