Sources have told Football Insider that Blackburn Rovers are prepared to sell Ryan Alebiosu to raise funds this summer. Rovers rejected multi-million pound offers for the 24-year-old during the January transfer window as they had no plans to lose him mid-way through the season. That stance has now changed, and they view key players and other big names in their squad as sellable assets as they aim to make significant profits. Alebiosu’s contract is set to run until 2028 and he could attract a high price. Football Insider revealed in January that Blackburn turned down an offer from Genoa for Alebiosu, and sources say that offer was worth around £4.3million. A similar offer in the summer window could be enough to secure his transfer and raise significant funds which will then be reinvested into Michael O’Neill’s squad.

Genoa, VfL Wolfsburg, and Everton were among the clubs recently linked with the player. In January 2026, it was reported that Blackburn Rovers rejected a €5 million offer from Genoa. An asking price of around £4 million was also cited during that period. Alebiosu, who joined Blackburn in July 2025, is under contract until June 2028 and has a current market value of €1.20m, according to Transfermarkt.
