It is reported that Venezia are nearing an agreement to sign Moroccan-French central defender Redouane Halhal from Mechelen for a fee of 5 million plus bonuses. The player was born in 2003, joined Mechelen in August 2024, and has a contract until June 2027. He has also competed in the World Cup with Morocco. Hellas Verona and Club Brugge have also been linked with the defender. It was noted in January 2026 that there was a reported offer of approximately €3.5 million from Hellas Verona.
