Mauro Icardi, a 33-year-old Argentine-Italian striker who stated he did not expect to be a free agent on October 30th, said in an interview that a potential return to Inter would be special. The striker explained that the end of his previous spell was painful and he would like to conclude his time at the club in a different manner. However, Icardi stipulated that a return would only be logical with mutual conviction, as he is not prepared to accept a project he isn't fully convinced by. Reflecting on his departure, he said he would now handle some moments differently, particularly the end. He recalled the hurt he felt when Spalletti removed his captain's armband while he was playing with injections for a knee problem, finding it difficult to accept his commitment being questioned. The forward has 8 caps and 1 goal for Argentina and a current market value of €3.0M, according to Transfermarkt. He has been linked with several clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, and Real Betis.
