Raphaël Guerreiro Transfer from FC Bayern München to Benfica
Benfica coach José Mourinho would like to bring Raphaël Guerreiro to Lisbon in the winter. However, Vincent Kompany wants to keep Guerreiro and recently put him back in the starting eleven. Kompany said he has a great player and a fantastic professional who is an important part of the team, adding that Guerreiro's future will be discussed internally and with no one else. The player's contract, which expires in the summer, is currently unlikely to be extended.
According to 'A Bola', José Mourinho particularly appreciates the versatility of the Bayern player and would like to have him in his team in January. Guerreiro is considered a fan of Benfica and can imagine playing for his favourite club.
Benfica is evaluating the possibility of signing 31-year-old Portuguese international Raphaël Guerreiro. The player is liked by the club's management and coach José Mourinho for the experience and immediate performance he could provide. Although he has been used infrequently at Bayern, Juventus has also been reported as interested in a potential transfer.
