Deportivo La Coruña is interested in the return of 22-year-old Spanish left-back Rafael Obrador, who played for the club in 2024/25, but the structure of the deal is a problem for his current club, Benfica. The Portuguese side would prefer a permanent sale or a loan with a mandatory purchase clause of at least €9 million, partly because Real Madrid is entitled to 50 percent of any profit from a transfer. Torino, where the left-back spent the second half of last season on loan, also wants to re-sign him and has proposed another loan with a €7 million purchase option. Besiktas is another club interested in him and has greater financial power and the appeal of European football, though their offer does not meet Benfica's valuation. Obrador, who has five caps for Spain's U21 team, joined Benfica from Real Madrid in July 2025 for a fee reported to be €5 million and has a contract until 2030. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €5 million.
