According to a report from AS, Deportivo has shown interest in signing Lucas Vázquez and any transfer would require negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen; however, the player and his entourage have not yet been made aware of the interest directly.

'Marca' reports that Deportivo A Coruña have opened negotiations for a transfer for Lucas Vázquez. The transfer is made difficult by financial issues; however, the team, which was recently promoted to La Liga, is continuing its efforts.

Deportivo de la Coruña has an interest in Lucas Vázquez, a 35-year-old Spanish winger who is currently playing for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga after his departure from Real Madrid. The Spanish club's interest is currently only at an initial stage. It is believed that the player would not be against a return to LaLiga, especially to a club in his native A Coruña. Vázquez joined Leverkusen in August 2025 and has a contract with the club until June 2027. He has 9 caps for Spain. His current market value is €1.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
