Quinten Timber Transfer from Feyenoord to Olympique Marseille
Fabrizio Romano reported that the deal for Quinten Timber to join Olympique Marseille is complete, a report also confirmed by Voetbal International and De Telegraaf. However, Feyenoord director Dennis te Kloese acknowledged concrete interest from Marseille but stated that the transfer is not yet finalized. Quinten Timber announced his departure in an interview with ESPN after Feyenoord's match against Sparta.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Dutch international Quinten Timber has decided against interest from Borussia Dortmund and is expected to join Olympique Marseille this winter. The 24-year-old, who has 8 caps and 1 goal for the Netherlands, has reached a verbal agreement with the Ligue 1 club, and negotiations between the clubs are in the final phase. Romano adds that a final agreement is anticipated in the next 24 hours. BVB had expressed interest in the central midfielder as a potential replacement for Pascal Groß, and the Bundesliga's second-placed team was targeting a free transfer in the summer. Timber, who joined Feyenoord in July 2022, was recently removed from the starting eleven by coach Robin van Persie after it was revealed he does not wish to extend his contract, which expires in the summer. The player has also been linked with clubs like Lazio, Napoli, and RB Leipzig. His current valuation on Transfermarkt is €25.00m. In January 2026, reports indicated Lazio offered at least €5 million for an immediate transfer, while Feyenoord reportedly demanded €10 million. Feyenoord's asking price in summer 2025 was €25-30 million.
