According to TEAMtalk, English international Phil Foden, 25, has reached an agreement in principle for a new contract with Manchester City that would last until 2030, with an option for an additional year. The agreement comes after several clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich, and teams from the Saudi Pro League, showed varying levels of interest in him over the past 12 months. Despite this interest, Foden has indicated that his future is in Manchester and remains fully committed to Pep Guardiola's project. Sources have confirmed that negotiations between Manchester City sporting director Hugo Viana and Foden's representatives are almost finalised, with only the final details to be completed. Foden used the services of agent Rafaela Pimenta, who was recommended by his teammate Erling Haaland, and her involvement was a key factor in securing the long-term agreement. The attacking midfielder has 49 caps and 4 goals for England. His current Transfermarkt market value is €80.00m, while previous interest saw a reported €130 million offer from Saudi club Al-Nassr in September 2025 and a valuation of approximately €147 million in February 2025.
