The 24-year-old Austrian international has been with the club since July 2022 and is under contract until 2027. In the current Bundesliga season, Wimmer has made 15 appearances, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists, and Wolfsburg reportedly set an asking price of at least €15 million in January 2026.
