Parfait Guiagon Transfer from Sporting Charleroi to Club Brugge
Club Brugge's main priority for the winter transfer window is to find a new winger. Parfait Guiagon, a 24-year-old Ivorian winger from Sporting Charleroi, has been noted as an interesting domestic option because of his performance this season. However, analyst Franky Van der Elst has questioned if he would be a suitable signing for the club. Van der Elst believes a player at a top club must demonstrate their best level more consistently than Guiagon has over his two and a half years at Charleroi, despite his recent impressive performances against top teams. The analyst also emphasized the difficulty of moving from Charleroi to a higher-level club and noted that Club Brugge's last two domestic transfers, Nilsson and Nielsen, were not successful. He added that at nearly 25 years old, Guiagon is older than the profile Club Brugge typically targets for signings. In the current Jupiler Pro League season, Guiagon has scored 6 goals and provided 2 assists in 18 appearances. The four-cap Ivory Coast international, who is under contract until June 2028, has also drawn interest from clubs such as Rangers, Celtic, and Norwich City. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €4.00m, and in August 2025, Sporting Charleroi reportedly valued him at €6 million.
