Sixteen-year-old striker Eamonn Tohill has signed a scholarship deal to join Middlesbrough's academy. The Northern Ireland Under-17 international developed at Cliftonville and made his first-team debut from the bench in a 5-2 Premiership victory over Glenavon in December, just three months after turning 16. Tohill, who will initially play for the Under-18s, also scored for his country late last year in a win against Armenia. After the move was completed, Tohill posted on Instagram that he was delighted to sign for Middlesbrough and thanked Cliftonville for the last four years. He has 8 caps and 2 goals for Northern Ireland's U17 team.
