Owen Elding Transfer from Sligo Rovers to Club Brugge
Club Brugge has shown interest in acquiring Owen Elding, a promising 19-year-old Irish forward who plays a pivotal role for Sligo Rovers. Elding, whose contract with Sligo Rovers extends until 2027, has demonstrated his prowess by scoring 9 goals and contributing 4 assists in 25 league matches. Sligo Rovers is reportedly seeking a club record fee of approximately €1.5 million for Elding. It is suggested that Club Brugge might initially sign him to gain experience at Club NXT, with plans to eventually sell him for a profit. Elding has also attracted attention from Norwich City and Ferencvaros, the latter managed by Irish football legend Robbie Keane, who are both interested in the skilled forward. Despite his market value being estimated at €125,000, Sligo Rovers remains steadfast in their asking price. The transfer is anticipated to occur in January.
