Owen Beck has committed to a new long-term contract with Liverpool, who also revealed that they have loaned him to Derby County for the remainder of the season. The Welsh left-back, who emerged from Liverpool's Academy, has three first-team appearances and is set to gain further experience by spending the 2025/26 season in the Championship. Beck had previously played in the Championship last season with Blackburn, where he made 25 appearances under the management of John Eustace, the current manager of Derby County. This previous association is expected to be advantageous as Beck continues to hone his skills at Derby. The 22-year-old has also had loan stints with Famalicao, Bolton, and Dundee, which have contributed to his experience in competitive football.
