Lille have made an initial approach to sign 20-year-old Watford winger Othmane Maamma, who also holds French citizenship, before the end of the winter transfer window. Lille have identified the Moroccan youth international as a potential target because they are looking to sign a winger. The attacker has scored three goals and registered one assist in 16 appearances for Watford in the EFL Championship this season. According to L’Équipe, a claim confirmed by Foot Mercato, Lille is also interested in Jessrun Rak-Sakyi from Crystal Palace. Maamma joined Watford in July 2025 and his contract runs until June 2029. His current market value is estimated at €1.30m by Transfermarkt. Several other clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool, and Strasbourg, have also been linked with the winger.
