Monaco is among several European clubs said to have an interest in 17-year-old Cruzeiro midfielder Eduardo Pape. Arsenal and Newcastle United are also monitoring the player, while Bayern Munich has observed him closely, having sent a scout for that purpose. Manchester City, Chelsea, Bournemouth, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Villarreal have also previously shown interest. Pape has an international release clause of €100 million in his contract, which runs until 2029, but Cruzeiro would consider a sale for approximately €40 million. No formal offers have been made. It is reported that most clubs are waiting until he turns 18 in March 2027, partly due to age restrictions on transfers to UK clubs. Cruzeiro is under no pressure to sell and is expected to continue his development.
