Piotr Koźmiński of Goal.pl has reported that Widzew Łódź is interested in acquiring 22-year-old Polish centre-back Oskar Wójcik from Cracovia. It is believed that contacts between the clubs should be established in the near future. Representatives from Cracovia have turned down several offers for the player in recent weeks, which were reportedly worth at least 2.5 million euros. Cracovia extended Wójcik's contract in August 2025 to run until the end of the 2028/2029 season, with an option for an additional 12 months. The Danish club Brøndby has also been linked with the player, and reports from January 2026 state that their €3 million offer was rejected. Cracovia is reportedly aiming for a fee that would exceed their club record of €5 million for an outgoing transfer. Wójcik, who joined Cracovia in August 2020, has made 18 appearances in the Ekstraklasa during the 2025/2026 season and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €1.50m.
