Widzew Łódź is nearing the finalization of a transfer for 19-year-old striker Ioan Vermeșan late in the summer transfer window. The Romanian youth international is expected to join on loan from Hellas Verona in a deal that includes a purchase option. The transfer is dependent on a medical examination scheduled for Wednesday, and the move will be completed if it is successful. Vermeșan had previously moved to the Italian club from Ripensia Timisoara in October 2022.
