German club Elversberg showed interest in Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Romanchuk, offering his Romanian club, Universitatea Craiova, €1.6 million, but the proposal was rejected. Dynamo Kyiv is also considering the 26-year-old to reinforce their central defense. The Kyiv team may once again pursue the player. Dynamo had previously been in contact with the Romanian club and was reportedly ready to offer €2 million, but Universitatea Craiova values the defender at a minimum of €2.5 to €3 million. Romanchuk, who has one cap for Ukraine, joined Universitatea Craiova in July 2025 and is under contract until June 2028. His current Transfermarkt market value is €2.50m.
