According to French outlet Foot Mercato, KVC Westerlo are interested in Norman Bassette. Coventry City are expected to allow Bassette to leave permanently this summer following his spell with Kaiserslautern, and three Belgian clubs are interested in him.

Norman Bassette, who was loaned to Reims and then to Kaiserslautern during the season, will return to Coventry City, where he has a contract until 2028. KVC Westerlo is interested in him due to his performances.

Westerlo is interested in signing Norman Bassette. However, they face stiff competition as Stade Reims has also expressed concrete interest in the 20-year-old Belgian centre-forward from Coventry City. Additionally, KV Mechelen remains keen on bringing Bassette back, as he previously played for them in the 2023/24 season. Discussions are ongoing, and a decision regarding Bassette's future is expected within the next 24 hours. His contract at Coventry City is set to expire in June 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.20m.
