Nico Paz Transfer from Como to Bayer 04 Leverkusen
Nico Paz, currently playing for Como and formerly from the youth of Real Madrid, has declined a move to Leverkusen. Real Madrid had a buyback option for 8 million Euro and was ready to sell him to Leverkusen for around 30 million Euro. However, Paz prefers to stay in Italy, as he is a key player for Como and the team is being strengthened to compete in Serie A under coach Cesc Fàbregas.
Leverkusen is interested in signing Nico Paz and is in ongoing talks with his entourage, with the player remaining high on their shortlist to replace Wirtz. Como also wants to keep the 20-year-old, and a decision is expected soon. Real Madrid has the option to buy back Nico Paz from Como for €8m after inserting a clause in the €6m deal they struck with the Italian side back in 2024.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen is highly interested in acquiring Nico Paz, an Argentinian playmaker, as a replacement for Florian Wirtz, who wishes to move to FC Liverpool. Real Madrid, who sold Paz to Como for six million euros, holds a buy-back option for eight million euros. The transfer of Franco Mastantuono to Real Madrid could reduce Real's need for Paz, making him more accessible to Bayer 04. Real Madrid is considering Paz as a candidate for transfer, with his value estimated at 30 to 35 million euros.
Nico Paz is listed as a candidate to be offered to Bayer Leverkusen by Real Madrid. However, Real Madrid first needs to activate their own buy-back clause from Como before sending him to the Bundesliga. Paz would also have to consent to the move, which is uncertain given his development and comfort under Cesc Fabregas at Como. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates his market worth at 35 million euros.
