Boro boss Kim Hellberg has praised Neto Borges, a 29-year-old defender from Brazil, indicating the player is in his plans for the 2026/27 campaign. Hellberg said he is happy to have Borges in his team and praised his attitude and versatility. It had initially seemed as though Borges would be leaving. Borges joined Middlesbrough in August 2024 and has a contract until June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €2.50m.
