A potential deal is complicated by the fact that Bundesliga side Bayern Munich possesses a buy-back clause and a 50% sell-on fee. It is claimed that due to these factors, the Championship club could seek a fee of around £17m for the player. Irankunda joined Watford in July 2025 and his contract runs until 2030.
