Former Arsenal defender Willian Gallas has suggested that it would mean 28-year-old Swedish and Hungarian striker Viktor Gyökeres had failed if he were to leave his club for a team such as Everton, Newcastle, or Manchester United. Speaking to SeatPick, Gallas provided the reason that Gyökeres chose to join Arsenal, is not an automatic starter, and Kai Havertz is often the preferred option. Manchester United are reportedly seeking an experienced Premier League striker in January. The club had previously attempted to sign the forward in the summer of 2025 before he joined his current club. Gyökeres's contract with Arsenal is valid until 2030. His market value is €55M, according to Transfermarkt. He has made 41 appearances for the Swedish national team, scoring 25 goals.
