Arka Gdynia has attempted to sign Nampalys Mendy from Watford and offered the experienced Senegalese defensive midfielder a contract proposal described as attractive. The offer reportedly consists of an 18-month deal that would make Mendy the highest-paid player in the squad. The 33-year-old, who joined Watford in August 2025 and has been capped 35 times for Senegal, has had a limited role at the club, appearing in only eight matches. With just six months remaining on his current agreement, it is considered likely he could receive approval to move elsewhere. His market value is €1.20m, according to Transfermarkt.
