Moussa Sylla Transfer from Schalke 04 to Valencia
Moussa Sylla was close to joining Valencia on loan on deadline day, but the transfer failed to materialize. The deal collapsed because Schalke 04 required a purchase obligation of approximately seven million euros to be part of the agreement. After the transfer did not go through, Schalke 04 manager Miron Muslic publicly supported Sylla.
Valencia showed interest in loaning Moussa Sylla, but Schalke was not willing to agree unless there was a purchase obligation after a certain number of appearances, which Valencia declined.
Valencia reportedly has an interest in acquiring the 25-year-old Malian international forward Moussa Sylla. This interest has been noted at the advisor level, though no concrete offer has been made by Valencia as of yet. Schalke recently turned down an initial offer for Sylla, deeming it too low. To address their negative equity, Schalke needs to raise approximately 4.9 million Euros and is seeking a fee between 7 to 8 million Euros for Sylla, whose market value stands at 6 million Euros. Furthermore, interest in Sylla is not limited to Valencia, as clubs such as Sevilla, Swansea, and Angers are also reportedly interested. French media have indicated that this widespread interest could lead to a transfer occurring soon, particularly in light of Schalke's financial situation and the current developments in the transfer market. Sylla's contract with Schalke is due to expire on June 30, 2028.
