Rennes is targeting Yassir Zabiri, a 20-year-old Moroccan striker from Famalicao, as the club seeks to sign a young attacker after the sale of their prospect Kader Meité to Al-Hilal. The French club has identified Zabiri, who became well-known after winning the U20 World Cup with Morocco, where he scored five goals, including a double in the final. The left-footed forward joined the Portuguese club in August 2024, has scored four goals in 12 appearances in the Portuguese top division, and is under contract until June 2028. Several other clubs, including Al Ittihad, Atalanta, and Porto, have also been linked with the striker. In January 2026, Famalicão's asking price was reportedly at least €15 million. There were also reports of a rejected offer from Porto and a €7 million bid from Al Ittihad. His Transfermarkt valuation is €4.00m.
