Västerås SK have confirmed they have agreed to sell Mikkel Ladefoged to a 'foreign club' in what is the biggest sale in the club's history. Aftonbladet had previously identified Lincoln City as his destination. The transfer is set to take effect on August 30. Västerås also confirmed that Ladefoged will not play for them again before the transfer is complete. According to reports, the deal could be worth up to 55 million Swedish kronor with bonuses. It is also believed that Västerås has secured a sell-on clause between 10 and 20 per cent. Sporting director Billy Magnusson stated that there has been significant speculation about the deal and that VSK Fotboll is very pleased with the financial aspects of the agreement. He added that it is, without comparison, the largest deal in the club's history. Magnusson also confirmed that Ladefoged's former club, Sønderjyske, will receive a portion of the fee due to a resale clause.
