Polendakov was loaned out this season, and Ludogorets has both an option and an obligation to sign him permanently at the conclusion of his loan spell. The 19-year-old right-back has made just one appearance for Ludogorets so far this season, entering the match as a second-half substitute in a 3-2 win over Cherno More Varna last month. Polendakov has also made three appearances for their reserve team.

Bulgarian youth international Mihail Polendakov has moved to Ludogorets from Sheffield United on a loan basis. The deal includes an option to buy, and his contract with Sheffield United is valid until June 30, 2028. The 19-year-old right back has 10 caps for the Bulgaria U21 team and made 36 appearances in the efbet Liga during the 2025/2026 season.
